Oh my gosh! What a great engagement session I had with Bayli & Cortland! Didn’t originally start that way in that there was a lot of people at beautiful Terramar Beach. The sun was shining really bright, and there may have been a little bit of nerves by my couple. In hindsight though it was good thing because it gave us time to get to know each other better. I got to learn a little more about them and their story and what all lead up to their engagement and upcoming wedding…but enough talking for now. Let’s show some photos from our incredibly fun session!
Alrighty friends! Trying to be better at posting on here. So for today I’d love to share with you a really fun engagement session with Christine & Travis. They’re this really great couple I met over lunch discussing their wedding plans. With their session Christine really had a clear vision for their engagement session. One that I absolutely loved! Christine had the great idea to do two different styles for their photos. One where they’re dressed up formally and in Balboa Park, and the other more casual and urban like in Little Italy.
Hello friends!! Hope this finds you all doing well. I wanted to mix things up a bit and share some personal work that I do besides all the wedding related posts you’re used to seeing. So one of the things I’ve been trying to do is volunteer as a photographer for a wonderful organization called the Frosted Faces Foundation. They tirelessly work to provide forever homes for Senior Dogs. For those of you that know me, know that I have a very soft spot for our senior dogs ever since the passing of my sweet Maganda.
Thus this post where I wanted to share with you a bit about a gentle senior dog named Buddy (or Buddy Boy to his friends :)). From Kelly Smíšek, Executive Director of the Frosted Faces Foundation “Buddy Boy was rescued from the Orange County Animal Care Center on November 19th, 2015 after he had been held there for 30 days during an investigation of the previous owners. He went on to live with a Forever Foster Family, until we had differing philosophies about when euthanasia should be considered, and he was relinquished back into our care.
Buddy Boy had a splenectomy in August of 2016 after a splenic mass ruptured! The biopsy showed that the mass was hemangiosarcoma, and typically the prognosis for that diagnosis is 4-8 months. Well, Buddy is still going strong, aside from arthritis for which he is well-medicated.
Buddy Boy is eligible for our Forever Foster Program where we cover lifelong medications and veterinary care. Buddy Boy is great with dogs of all sizes and cats, he enjoys following his person around, and spends time sitting on dog beds taking in the scenery.”
Did you see that? The foundation will cover “lifelong medications and veterinary care”. Hopefully you can help find Buddy Boy a loving home to live out the rest of his golden years. To apply to be his Forever Foster Family, you will find the application at www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/apply/
Hello friends!!! Happy New Year!! I know I’ve been terrible at posting but that’s hopefully all going to change!! My New Year’s Resolution to blog at least twice a month so come back often as I should have new content for you! So let’s start with the beautiful wedding of Susan & Wayne! Such lovely details by this couple as their ceremony & reception took place at the El Cortez Don Room & Terrace!
Just love their classic style which was the perfect fit when you’re getting married at the El Cortez! Thank you Tour of Elegance for referring to me to this amazing couple and for your incredible work in this wedding!
Congratulations Susan & Wayne!! Such a beautiful day for such a beautiful couple!!
Hello friends!! Seems like forever since I’ve posted and for that I truly apologize! It’s no excuse but I’ve been so crazy busy with so many amazing things in the works which I’ll promise I’ll fill you in shortly. I’m back though and am planning on posting something fresh and new for you every week going forward.
So for my return post I needed something special to share with you which is the engagement session of Melanie & Yoni. This was a couple that I just hit it off with when I first met them and I feel it shows in the pictures. They came all the way down from L.A. just so we could spend the afternoon at the beautiful and fun Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido, CA. Melanie & Yoni are big fans of breweries so this seemed like the most appropriate place to do their engagement session.
It was such a fun day!! SBWBG were so great about us shooting on their grounds and letting us go anywhere we wanted. I highly recommend them if you’re in the area and are looking for a place with a great environment with tasty food and drinks.
So for the first part of our shoot we got to go in the actual brewery for some fun pics! Love how industrial everything looks
This was really fun in that a tour went through our shoot and actually announced our couple and even stayed to get in some of the shots. It was especially funny too in that the docent kept calling it “wedding photos” instead of an engagement session.
Congratulations Melanie & Yoni!! Thank you for spending so much time with me. So excited for your wedding day!!
