Hello friends!  Hope this finds you all doing well.  Sorry again for the delay between postings. As always so many things in the works that I’ve slacked on my blogging responsibilities.  So let’s get back into it and share some photos from a really great couple Wanda & Sihao.  These two lovebirds met while working together at the Salk Institute where Wanda works as a researcher and Sihao as a scientist.  The great thing about this story is it’s a workplace romance starting first as friends and then finding true love 🙂  The one thing when looking at these photos is the way Sihao looks at Wanda.  His look says so much as you can tell what he’s feeling at that very moment simply by the look in his eyes.

So right upon meeting them, Sihao had a surprise for Wanda.  No he didn’t propose as he had already done that but recreated the moment and surprised her as he had it fitted in time for our shoot.  A really sweet gesture on his part that was very appreciated by Wanda.

As promised here’s a glimpse of Jen & Justin’s beautiful wedding held at the Darlington House.  Something I didn’t mention with last week’s posting is the amazing history of the Darlington House and how much they do for the community.  The start of this amazing location dates back to 1925 but the thing that stands out for me is that they’re owned and operated by the Social Service League of La Jolla, a non-profit public benefit (501c3) corporation. Their mission provide housing and meal support to seniors who have lived and worked in the San Diego area through all their volunteers and events held at the location.  So just know that when you contribute to the location which offers “Historic charm but Modern Elegance”, you not only are having your event held at a beautiful location, you’re helping those less fortunate…but I digress…you saw their gorgeous ceremony & cocktail hour in last week’s post, now on to their super fun reception!!San Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSan Diego Wedding Photography with Jenn & JustinSo something I like to do for my couples is select a few favorite photos and play with the editing a bit.  For this wedding we used my video lights to add some drama as well as played a bit with the editing.  Hope you like!

Hello friends!  I wanted to bring back a past wedding that I never got around to blogging.  Going forward too I think I’m going to break these wedding posts into multiple parts.  They are just so gorgeous in their own way I didn’t want photos shared to be unappreciated.  So anyway…this blast from the past is the amazing wedding of Jenn & Justin at the always impressive Darlington House.  Jenn had almost an old hollywood glamour about her as she stunned the audience with how gorgeous she looked.  Not to be outdone, Justin was looking just as sharp!  This wedding was so fun to capture just because they had a great ability to be serious and fashionable in some set of pics, and then downright silly in others.  This is only part one of a two part series sharing their wedding.  Hope you enjoy viewing these photos as I did capturing them

Oh my gosh!  What a great engagement session I had with Bayli & Cortland!  Didn’t originally start that way in that there was a lot of people at beautiful Terramar Beach.  The sun was shining really bright, and there may have been a little bit of nerves by my couple.  In hindsight though it was good thing because it gave us time to get to know each other better.  I got to learn a little more about them and their story and what all lead up to their engagement and upcoming wedding…but enough talking for now.  Let’s show some photos from our incredibly fun session!

Beautiful setting and what a fun shoot! Cannot wait to see how their wedding is going to be! Love the stone numbers.

  • Marie Monforte - April 28, 2017 - 9:07 AM

Oh I love Terramar! it’s hard dot shoot at because you have to coordinate low tide with sunset! I love what you did with this engagement session! I especially love how you didn’t just focus on the water and instead tucked the couple into the cliffs too! Lovely collection!

  • Merima - May 1, 2017 - 4:53 AM

Sunset and low tide at terramar? Excellent north county location that you can’t beat for engagement photos – live all the fun clearly had!

  • Rachel M. - May 1, 2017 - 5:59 AM

I have never heard of this Terramar beach before, but now that I’ve seen this beautiful engagement session I will have to check it out soon. I love the images with the couple tucked into the cliffs. And, of course, your images at the brewery are so fun and show what a fun photographer you are.

Alrighty friends!  Trying to be better at posting on here.  So for today I’d love to share with you a really fun engagement session with Christine & Travis.  They’re this really great couple I met over lunch discussing their wedding plans.  With their session Christine really had a clear vision for their engagement session.  One that I absolutely loved!  Christine had the great idea to do two different styles for their photos.  One where they’re dressed up formally and in Balboa Park, and the other more casual and urban like in Little Italy.

What you’re seeing below is just a small sample of what transpired from our session.  Just a really fun relaxed day enjoying these two very different locations.San Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & TravisSan Diego Engagement Photography with Christine & Travis

Fun indeed! Balboa Park and Little Italy are two of San Diego’s best spots for an engagement session! Well done!

  • Kim - April 13, 2017 - 9:28 PM

What a fun day filled with two of San Diego’s most beautiful spots. I like the idea of dressing up at Balboa Park and getting the urban feel of Little Italy. What a great engagement session!

  • Kaori D - April 14, 2017 - 1:24 AM

Such fun engagement photos at Balboa Park and Little Italy! Love their energy and you captured their personalities so well. Cannot wait to see their wedding pictures!

  • Rachel - April 17, 2017 - 3:16 AM

What a fun engagement session at Balboa Park and Little Italy. That image of them all dressed up and sitting on the steps is GOLD! Love them all, but that one is my favorite. Beautiful work, as always!

  • Merima - April 17, 2017 - 3:35 AM

Classic San Diego through and through – from Balboa Park to Little Italy, it’s like I got a lively tour through the best that SD had to offer. Great idea for engagement photos!

  • kelly reci - May 24, 2017 - 4:25 AM

Very nice pictures!! looks so perfect!

  • Ayana Pitterson - May 24, 2017 - 11:31 AM

Ohhhh how I miss San Diego! Best military station ever. Love the photos in Balboa Park and then Little Italy. It captures the couple’s personalities, as you can tell that while they can be serious/formal, they are pretty laid back. Great shots.
